Sydney Harbour To Play Host To Entire P&O Australia Fleet

November 25th 2015 will be a date that will have some historic significance to P&O Cruises Australia.

For the very first time ever, the entire 5 ship fleet will be in Sydney Harbour together in a ceremony to welcome their two latest cruise ships, Pacific Aria and Pacific Eden which have just joined the fleet after having been refurbished.

The five ships will arrive together where they will make a v formation before going their separate ways in order to berth and anchor. They should be arriving in Sydney around 06.15 local time.

It is anticipated that Pacific Jewel will anchor at Athol Bay. Pacific Dawn will anchor east of Garden Island. New ships Pacific Aria and Pacific Eden will be berthed at Overseas Cruise Terminal at Circular Quay and White Bay Cruise Terminal. Pacific Pearl will be anchored off Piper Point.

A whole host of activities are planned for the celebrations, including on board concerts on all of their ships from acts such as Mauboy, Justice Crew and Australia X Factor winner, Samantha Jade.

In what is a move from tradition, the Pacific Aria and Pacific Eden will be christened on Twitter by celebrities Jessica Mauboy and Kate Ritchie at Fort Denison whilst the ships pass. At the moment they have been named on Twitter, champagne bottles will smash against the bow and there will be fireworks to commemorate the event.

It is anticipated the event will attract thousands of spectators as the five ships arrive into the harbour and with the ships bringing around 9000 passengers with them, the harbour is sure to be very busy indeed.
