Celebrity Cruises Brings VIP Style To London Waterloo

January 18th saw Celebrity Cruises bring a spot of VIP glamour to London Waterloo station.

To help commuters feel more relaxed and pampered, Celebrity laid on butlers to assist them to taxis from where a special version of their Lawn Club was laid out in order to bring a touch of the Solstice class ships to the station. Commuters who used the Lawn Club were then given a passport to enter a competition in which they could win a chaffeur driven journey back home with also a luxury hamper of food and drink to enjoy when they got back home.

Jennifer Vieira,  who is the brand experience and partnership marketing manager for  Celebrity Cruises UK, told Event Magazine:

“We brought our award-winning Lawn Club to London Waterloo’s taxi rank on Blue Monday to surprise and delight commuters with our butlers and free refreshments.

“Engagement has been spectacular, with consumers thrilled by a taste of modern luxury on a cold, winter day in London.”

This is the latest in a marketing drive by Celebrity Cruises to enhance their brand image and to attract more passengers on to their cruise ships. In November, they held a UK promotion “A Different View” where there was a photo frame with different subjects used including grass of which half an acre of special grass is onboard their Solstice Class ships.

Celebrity Cruises will welcome the return of Celebrity Eclipse to Southampton this year when she arrives from the US. In April, there will be a special one off  maiden visit from her sister ship, Celebrity Silhouette.
