Crystal Cruises have announced plans to construct the world’s largest ‘mega-yacht’, which will be named ‘Crystal Endeavor’.
Named after Captain James Cook’s research ship, HMS Endeavour, the 600ft, 25,000grt ship will accommodate 200 guests in 100 suites and will be designed to explore areas such as the Arctic, Antarctic and tropical regions. .
Speaking at the announcement, Edie Rodriguez, Crystal Cruises President and CEO, expressed her delight and excitement at this ‘game-changer’ announcement. She said:
“With Crystal Esprit, we discovered there are many guests, young and young at heart, who enjoy sports at sea and discovering remote islands. As the interests and age of luxury travellers increasingly vary, we will continue to expand our collection of luxury travel options. Luxury means something different to virtually everyone, and we strive to meet and exceed the wishes of the discerning modern luxury traveller. Crystal Endeavor will cater to a particularly daring audience, one who values luxurious comfort and amenities as much as life-changing adventures.”
Crystal Endeavor will boost some fantastic features, including the cruise line’s signature Palm Court. This will offer 270 degree panoramic sea-views for activities such as whale-watching. A spacious 10,000 square foot Spa and Conservatory which will offer full-service Spa, Yoga, Pilates, Salon and Wellness Centre. In addition there will be Jacuzzis’ and an infinity pool which will also double up as a dance floor or al fresco area with the base of the pool being lifted up. A 200 seat theatre will also be on offer as will a cinema, computer centre and numerous bars, restaurants and lecture rooms.
Passengers will be offered some luxurious accomodation on board with the minimum sized suites measuring a respectable 400 square feet whilst two enormous Owners Suites will measure an incredible 1,615 square feet for interior of suite and 1,507 square feet balcony. These ultra-luxurious suites will offer a master bedroom, two guest bedrooms, extensive living areas both inside and outdoors, private conservatory, garden and outdoor Jacuzzi. If guests want to make their space even bigger, they can connect up with a Penthouse Suite, which alone measure 806 square feet and this will offer a combined square footage of 3,928 square feet.
Edie Rodriguez spoke highly of the proposed accommodation that guests will be able to enjoy on Crystal Endeavor. She added:

This announcement is further evidence that Crystal Cruises are looking to consolidate their position within the luxury cruise market and to further enhance their cruise experience for guests.
