Azura Experiencing Reported Propeller Problems In Ponta Delgado

It’s been reported from passengers on board P&O Cruises,  Azura that the ship is experiencing propeller problems in the port of Ponta Delgado, The Azores.

The ship was supposed to have left at 6pm local time but currently the ship is still in port with engineer crews hoping to fix the problem.

The ship is currently going Transatlantic to the Caribbean to spend the winter months in warmer climes. The ship departed Southampton  on Friday and Azura’s next port of call isn’t until the 7th November when she arrives into St Maarten.

Azura is not due back to Southampton until the 31st March 2017.

More updates when more is known about her situation.

  1. Heard from someone onboard the ship. Doesn’t look like it’s going to leave Ponta Delgada till Nov 2nd at the earliest. Apparently the passengers aren’t being given any information which isn’t helping.
