Royal Caribbean And Azamara Granted Approval By Cuban Government

Royal Caribbean and Azamara have been granted permission by the Cuban Government to operate cruises to the Caribbean Island.

This follows the news that NCL Holdings had been granted permission for their ships to visit Cuba by the Cuban Government.

Whilst itinearies are still to be announced, Richard D.Fain chairman and chief executive officer of Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. was excited at the prospect of cruises operating to Cuba.

“Our discussions with our travel partners indicate that Cuba is a destination that appeals to a new generation of travelers.”

The cruise visits to Cuba are subject to the condition that tourists are visiting the island for people to people exchanges between tourists and the Cuban citizens and other travel permitted by US regulations and will also be subject to OFAC regulations.
