Cruise visits to Helsinki is increasing and with 2016 seeing more than 240 cruise calls to the cityin 2016 and according  the port’s CEO, Kimmo Mäki, it’s vitial to provide a high standard of facilities to accomodate the increased numbers of cruise passengers from around the world.

With cruise ships now being designed to be powered by Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) the port are also considering incorporating special LNG bunkering facilities for those cruise ships instead of having to get lorries to come and fill the ships with the LNG.
