Cuba Beckons For Carnival Paradise

Carnival Cruise Line are the latest cruise line to be granted permission to sail to Cuba.

Starting from June 2017, Carnival Paradise will be operating a series of 4 and 5 day cruises out of Tampa which will include a daytime and overnight call to Havana, Cuba.

According to Cruise News Industry, these sailing will commence on 29th June with the 4 day cruises departing 29th June, 13th July, 24th August, 7th September, 21st September, 5th October, 19th October and also 3rd May 2018. Five day itineraries will depart; 14th August, 28th August, 25th September and 9th October.

Following on from fellow Carnival Corporation brand, Fathom, gaining permission to sail to Cuba last year, Carnival Corporation are hoping that other brands in the corporation will gain permission to sail to Cuba.

In a statement released by Carnival Corporation. CEO, Arnold Donald was thrilled and excited at the latest news for Carnival Cruise Line. He said:

Our iconic Carnival brand has carried tens of millions of passengers to the Caribbean during its nearly 45-year history, and we are excited that our largest brand will sail guests to Cuba, one of the most sought-after destinations in the world. Our first-hand expertise gained from being the first to sail from the U.S. to Cuba in decades, and carrying more U.S. passengers than any other cruise company over the past year, will be invaluable in helping our Carnival brand make sure its guests have a great vacation experience to what is becoming one of the Caribbean’s most desired destinations.”

“As we expand cruise vacations to Cuba in the second half of this year, we are also optimistic we will be granted approval by Cuba for additional Carnival Corporation brands. The Caribbean is already the world’s most popular region for cruising, and we are excited about expanding our itineraries across several of our brands to include Cuba.”

Built in 1998 and at 70,367grt and 855ft long, Carnival Paradise can accomodate 2052 passengers. She is part of the highly successful Fantasy Class of ships which also includes  Carnival Fantasy, Carnival Ecstasy,  Carnival Inspiration, Carnival Imagination, Carnival Fascination, Carnival Elation and Carnival Sensation.
