Global Eagle Entertainment Spreads Its Wings With Strategic Partnership With Norwegian Cruise Line

Global Eagle Entertainment and Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) have agreed a multi-year strategic partnership programme which will see the internet and entertainment services on board NCL ships enhanced and improved.

Plans are afoot for tiered wi-fi with texting and video to allow passengers a greater choice on access to to their tablets, mobile and internet access.

Passengers will also be able to access an intergrated portal which included televesion programmes, on-demand movies, games and special events that will be televised.

With this in mind, Global Eagle Entertainment will be able to monitor the usuage on board NCL’s fleet of ships which will allow them to tweak the bandwith on an individual ship basis to offer the best quality and consistent experience based on real-time demand.
