Gratuities To Rise On P&O Ships

P&O Cruises have raised their suggested gratuities from £5 per day to £6 per person and will be for passengers aged 12 years and over.

The new suggested amount came into effect on cruises from 27th March and onwards.

The Service Reward Programme as it is known is a chance for passengers to say ‘thank you’ to the staff on board for the service they receive on their cruise according to P&O Cruises.

The gratuity amount is discretionary and passengers can opt out of the charges by going to reception and getting the charges removed from their on board account. That way, they can still give gratuities as they wish and choose the amount they wish to give.

Passengers can  choose to pre pay their gratuities with the purchase of on board spending money pre cruise and this will be added on to their on board accounts.
