Viking Continue Expansion With Two More Ships Ordered

Viking Ocean Cruises and Fincantieri have signed a memorandium of agreement for the construction of two more ships for Viking with the option of a further two.

The new ships which are now scheduled for delivery in 2021 and 2022 which join their six other sisters with the same design.  Viking Star was the first ship delivered in 2015 with Viking Sea and Viking Sky delivered in 2016 and early 2017. Viking Sun will be delivered later this year, with Viking Spirit scheduled for delivery next year. A sixth as of yet un-named vessel is set to be delivered in 2019.

With all veranda staterooms, the new ships will each carry 930 guests in 465 cabins and with a gross tonnage of 47,800grt, the new ships will be equipped with the latest navigational and safety equipment including the ‘Safe Return To Port’ System.
