New Look For Celebrity Constellation

Celebrity Cruises, Celebrity Constellation will begin her refit process this Friday, 12th May with Celebrity Cruises promising a ‘bold refresh’ ‘like you’ve never seen her before’.

The refitting will only take two weeks to complete but when she re-emerges from dry dock, she will be revitalised with new changes including ‘more iconic venues and brand new culinary concepts’.

Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, President and CEO, Celebrity Cruises was excited about the changes that will be taking place on Celebrity Constellation.

“We are continually pushing the boundaries of the cruise experience, so we are adding some incredible new features to Celebrity Constellation. In addition to introducing the ever-popular restaurant Qsine, we are launching an entirely new culinary experience, Top Deck Burger Bar. On top of that, we’re also incredibly excited about the addition of our Rooftop Terrace and the iconic Taste of Film experience.”

Lutoff-Perlo further added: “Additionally, we are unveiling some other ship enhancements to our Suites, revealing a stunning shopping bazaar and our signature portrait studio. Guests won’t want to leave!”

For the food lovers, guests on Celebrity Constellation will be able to enjoy a ‘gastronomic adventure’ at the popular Qsine. A new addition to Celebrity Celebration, guests will be able to enjoy the quirkiness and imaginative menu of this new restaurant. Qsine takes the place of Ocean Liners Restaurant and will be renovated and modernised accordingly for the tastes of Qsine.

For those guests who enjoy a good burger, the addition of the fleet’s latest dining venue, Top Deck Burger Bar will leave the tastebuds mesmerised. The space formerly known as Mast Grill, situated on the Pool Deck, will be transformed into the new venue. Guests will be able to indulge in the Celebrity Signature Burger or enjoy the Build Your Own Burger experience with a vast choice of toppings, sides and condiments to make that burger that bit more special.

Another popular Celebrity venue being added to Celebrity Constellation is that of the Rooftop Terrace. This area will offer a space that is ‘intimate and inviting’ which will feature relaxing furniture, a taste or artistic designs and a large outdoor ‘soundscape and movie screen’. From here, guests will be able to enjoy mixing food and film a the A Taste of Film, another new culinary additon to the ship.

Amongst other changes to happen around the ship during her refit, Celebrity Constellation will have new RFID door locks on all stateroom doors. This will allow guests to tap their SeaPass card against the door lock and automatically it will unlock the door for them.


For those guests in the Penthouse and Royal Suite, they will be refreshed with new powder room ‘refreshes’ including porcelain tiled floors, new fixtures, marble surfaces and new seating. Other suite areas will undergo refreshing with new furnishings, artwork, carpets, curtains and bed linens. This to further add to the ‘Modern Luxury’ experience.

For the shopaholics out there, the main shopping area on board will be revitalised and will give guests a far more varied choice in fashion and merchandise. For those who like their photographs and portraits taken, there is the The Studio where memories of their cruise can be captured.

Celebrity Constellation will then emerge from dry dock and enjoy a summer of itineraries sailing to the most fantastic destinations including the Mediterranean, the Arabian Coast, India and the Far East.

Celebrity Constellation is a Millenium Class ship and entered service in 2002. With a gross tonnage of 91,000grt, she can accomodate 2559 guests in double occupancy with 51% of the staterooms having balconies.
