MSC Cruises have tonight announced that MSC Bellissima, sister ship to MSC Meraviglia, will be named in Southampton on 2nd March 2019.
The ship will spend three days in Southampton where members of the press, travel and selection of loyal MSC Voyagers Club members will be among the very first to explore the ship
The 171,000grt, 4500 passenger ship will then depart on her inaugural cruise to her home port, Genoa with calls to Spain, Portugal and France.
It is anticipated that Sophie Lauren will be the ship’s Godmother whilst the line up for other entertainers and acts for the ceremony is still to be finalised.
MSC Bellissima will be the largest ever cruise ship to be named in the UK and will be the second MSC ship to be christened in the UK after MSC Poesia was named in Dover on 5th April 2008.
