MSC Cruises have announced MSC Bellissima will be deployed in Asia for Spring 2020 as today MSC Splendida arrived in Chinese waters.
Currently under construction at the STX France shipyard at Saint-Nazaire, MSC Bellissima will be sister ship to MSC Meraviglia and a second in the Meraviglia class of ships and will enter service in March 2019.
MSC Bellissima will spend her inaugural season in the Mediterranean next summer and will then sail to Asia in the spring of 2020 where she will be mainly based from Shanghai, offering cruises to the Chinese market but will also undertake some sailings from Japan to cater for a growing demand from Japanese consumers for the MSC product. There will also a mixture of sailings reserved for international guests who wish to explore the region from the comfort of a MSC ship.
Guests on MSC Bellissima will be able to enjoy a range of cutting-edge innovations including the longest LED Sky Screen at sea which will encompass the 96 metre long ‘Mediterranean-style’ promenade, which will become the social hub of the ship. Entertainment on offer will see guests enjoy nightly Cirque du Soleil shows and for those enjoying the MSC Yacht Club experience, there will be new features and luxurious accomodations that will span three decks and will incorporate private facilities and butler service 24 hours a day. MSC Bellissima will one of the largest and most innovative cruise ships to ever sail in Asia.

MSC Splendida is due to arrive in Yokohama on 27th April and will help mark the 10th aniversary of MSC Cruises in Japan.
